Webmail
When you are our of the office you can use any computer connected to the internet wherever it is in the world to access your mail. You can read your messages, delete them, forward messages and even send new ones. When you get home again, you simply hit send/receive on your pc and your messages will be downloaded.
Webmail is also especially useful if you suspect that your mail system is being clogged by a large attachment in an e-mail. You'll be able to see the offending message and delete it.
Either go to www.mail2web.com and click on advanced login and then insert your incoming mailserver, account name and password, or go to our own web mail system at www.email2web.co.uk
Whereas some other systems don't let you send mail [or if they do, you manually have to insert your reply address each time to ensure that receipients can reply to you] with our system you can create a profile and it will autromatically remember your account details.
Other systems you can use includehttp://www.mail2web.com. Click on the Advanced Login option:
You will then see three boxes:
In the Server name or IP address box type in: mail.yourdomain
[ie mail. and then YOUR domain name with the .co.uk.,.com or .net extension !!]
In the User ID or Login name box type in the username for accessing your mail [You'll find this by going to Properties for this account in Outlook or Outlook Express
In the Password box type in the password for accessing your mail [You'll only see **** if you go to Properties for this account in Outlook or Outlook Express, but the number of **** should prompt you to remember what it is if you have forgotten!
NB: remember if you are checking a domain e-mail, you will need to use the server, login and password for the mail account that you want to check, NOT just the default one given to you by your internet access provider [BT, AOL etc].
